Neiman Marcus – Abstract Painting

While working with this client, it was mentioned in conversation that there was a need for “filler images” in their windows for times between major campaigns. Instead of having nothing in the windows during this down time, they wanted to have some pretty pictures or some abstract art that the employees could use to keep the windows interesting. I created this original painting using a mix of acrylic and wax. We then photographed and reproduced the painting as a fabric stretch frame, but the actual textures and materials of the original painting really carried over nicely. The original is still hanging in my office.
